In early February, Jane Holtz and I dropped off our two Laurens at the Desales Family Center in Michigan so they could participate in a D-Pan weekend camp. While Jane and I stayed in our pajamas all weekend and read books, our girls were having fun with Sean Forbes and a group of fellow campers. They produced two videos, “We are the World” (below) and “Smile,” (coming soon) in a tribute to Michael Jackson and in recognition of the Haiti earthquake.
Enjoy!

Very beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
That was so beautiful and well-done! LOVED it! Great job to all the kids and their teachers.
AWESOME video! Some of those may be our future singer singers. Sean has a WONDERFUL personality and I can see the kids had a lot of fun making this video!
I don’t know much ASL, but that was beautiful!
Wonderful! Perhaps you know why kids with autism are not taught sign language other than the “no, all done”etc (generally) Tons of kids with autism do not have the tools to communicate effectively with the world. If you have interest in this subject and any up to date info on who is doing this work please write! I do a radio show and have an interest in spreading information. Thank you again!
